the third and last format:b vinyl-package is adjusted! subject matter still is the current album restless which has been taken on by big name artists of the international surroundings of the two. in pole position a1 this time is the italian uto karem. he took a shot at piano man and hits the keys just like we are used to from format:b. with his version of socks & sandals the dutch dj madskillz comes around the corner. its his second pounding release on formatik records after his carnival chaos ep. a debut however is given by the also italian artist fernando tessis who keep his eyes upon warped and who went into the remix battle with trumpets and timpani giving no less attention to his demonstration of his garland of corn on b2.

the restless take a remix break! with their formatik 008, format:b presents three artists- each taking on a title of their current album to knit them in their own manner. at the head the berlin buddies pan-pot, shake the a1 with a breeze of rave-charm as usual right out of their sleeve, rocking the track liquid to its climax then glazing the peak with the smooth voice of fran. on b1 dj pp accelerates. gabriel rocha is how hes called in real life, is one of the south-american stars of the scene, delivering an energetic remix of oversexed. last but not least: the winner of the remix-contest in which format:b has listened through a house-high pile of promos is tobi kramer- a young artist of the neighborhood, who has been casted showing his talent by making out of socks and sandals one more time a club-hit.
part one of session victims haunted house of house sampler is already going down an absolute storm with the likes of dop, james teej, catz n dogz and tornado wallace declaring it >superb<, >inspiring<, >fantastic<, and bloody ripping, respectively. nows the time for part two containing four more cuts of the good stuff and by now you know what we are talking about here, deep, sample-heavy, rough around the edges but smooth in all the right places. basically good oldfashioned instrumental moods and grooves which will appeal equally to those old enough to remember the golden era of pork recordings as it will to the hip young vinyl heads with a nose for anything disco. enjoy, support and keep them peeled for the final installment part three coming very soon

the second format b album is booked as a big success. as a consequence the big round of remixes has been called out to which the friends from the house of formatik have been invited to. sébastien léger attacks >atomizer< with a cumulative bang like a horde of sedulous ants which are anxious to nibble on the already major sound-board to the total peak-time inferno. big-time! the intro track not only is being picked up by andhim who made out of the chill-out peace a capital dance-floor floater, also super flu casted the spherical peace for their remix. but not only the melody of >desire< has found application in their >two for one price< remix, the vocals from >liquid< as well nuzzle into the complex produced remix arrangement of the two >hallenser< to endow the hole ep the pop-crown.

with their new label rauh (german for raw), the duo session restore provides the evidence, that contemporary forms of techno and dubtechno link to harsh, dry and loopy patterns and thereby follow the tradition of techno. on closer listening though it reveals music of fine arts with melodic parts and hypnotically notes, which omit any form of gaudiness. rauh is tradition of electronic music with a new livery. there will only be exclusive tracks of the duo, rounded up by remixes of other emerging artists.

aaah lovely dovely, its that time of year again, the city is covered in snow, chestnuts are a roastin and wee little elves are working away busily pressing the annual home sweet home compilation for your listening and dancing pleasure. yep, its nearly that time of year again, the famed hsh new years rave at the arena/treptow in berlin is just around ye corner. yay! this year we have invited some dj and producer friends from berlin that are playing at the party to contribute to the compilation too! the lovely frenchmen shonky who has played at a few of our shindigs since moving to berlin and is known for his funky techno style has even named his track on a1 >madame moustache<, how very sweet ! snapping at his heels on b2 is our good friend from way up north (maybe he knows santa) and also a berlin resident agaric with his kicking track >after it all< which we are very pleased about. the flipside features some of our homies jens bond and tigerskin with a furious track on b1 followed by nico stojan our little bar 25 flirt with a nice melodic house track on a2 to round things off nicely.
deep in the night, 2000 and one and sandy huner met up in their amsterdam studio to record >baile bass groove<, reflecting their early hour mood, this tune is the perfect tool for the afterparty.
on the flipside we welcome robert babicz, a name which doesnt need introduction! the title >take it deep< says it all, deep chords and floating strings are the ingredients which penetrate and power this groove.
last but not least, diego moura & diogo accioly better know as talking props both resident at d-edge in sao paulo, bring you >walking on white sands<, funky stabs and catchy vocal snippets make this track rock the dancefloors.

only for an artist like samuel l session and on labels like be as one, you could put together a remixes pack with some of the most genre defining producers in the dance music of the recent time and beyond. such is indeed for sls album the man with the case remixes pack. on the a side you have label boss shlomi aber, soon to release his 2nd long awaited artist album on ovum, who has reworked big bad drum in a jazzier, dubbier vein. damage is assured on the dancefloors. cadenzas main man reboot takes samuels the soloist and turns it into an hipnotic techno journey, something very different from what frank is known for. stacey pullen needs no introduction, being one of the leaders of the second wave of detroit techno hes a legend in the scene. with him, sls sections get reworked to a new high. to close the package, the soloist get remixed by sls himself, and its turned into a new dancefloor groover, bearing once again the swedish master imprint.
first release by jonny comes with two far over ten minutes mad electronic funk jams. one side space station is fully devoted to (carl craigs) paperclip people and 69-projects. the other track brings jonny back to eighties styled disco, himself doing the bass which is stuck in your brains after one time listening.check
